MALAWI
Malawi is considered the 'Warm Heart of Africa' and is home to some of the friendliest people you will ever meet. Yet it is the seventh poorest country in the world and is home to estimated 1 million orphans. The life expectancy in Malawi is only 41.7 years old and HIV/AIDS is very prevalent amongst this young population.

It is into this context that GYM has already launched over 15 teams who have demonstrated sacrificial love, participated in ministry with the Malawian Christian leaders, and have seen thousands dedicate their lives to Christ! One of the highlights of this history has been YC Malawi in the summer of 2008. This weekend event saw thousands fill Silver Striker Stadium in the Capital city of Lilongwe to hear the gospel proclaimed in an unprecedented way. Teams have been returning to Malawi ever since!
 
In July/August 2012, we are planning to send teams to minister in Malawi and it's African neighbour Uganda.  Spots are still available, see below for details!
