Malawi

Malawi Africa, the seventh poorest nation in the world. One million orphans and a life expectancy of 41.7 years old. Yet incredibly this nation is still considered the warm heart of Africa - not only for the incredible warmth of the air, but due to the amazing warmth of the hearts of these people in need. Need doesn?t even seem strong enough a word to describe the amount of people stricken with poverty. Need does not fairly describe the amount of people struggling through the end of life with HIV AIDS. Need is a weak word for those who are living their lives without the knowledge of the one who came to give them life.

In August 2008 twelve teams went to Malawi and ministered all over the country by reaching out to the poor and needy through volunteering in orphanages, hospitals and churches. During that same time YC Malawi happened and the teams were able to come together and function as volunteer for the event. This was an amazing event were we saw hundreds get saved. We are expecting God to continue to do great things as teams continue to go to minister in Malawi.
