Belize

Belize is the only official English speaking country in Central America and one which has its own unique set of social issues that its leaders are working to address. Originally colonized by the British and known as British Honduras until the early 70’s, Belize gained its official independence in 1981. Since then the nation has developed into a country where approximately 1 out of every 3 citizens is a youth or young adult. This emerging generation is crying out for God in every way possible. Global Youth Missions currently partners with missionaries across the country to help in impacting the people of Belize with the life saving truth of Jesus Christ. Teams work closely with local missionaries and opportunities to serve at the annual YC in Belize City exist.
